The Spanish National Team got a superb victory over France (2-1) and secured their place in the U-17 World Cup quarter-finals.
Sergio Gómez played his fourth straight game from the beginning, but the French team was better in the first half and Pintor made the opener in a counter-attack after a lost ball by Spanish defenders. But Miranda scored a beautiful header after a right cross from Ferran Torres in the last minute.
In the second half, Sergio Gómez gave his best version playing as a playmarker and La Rojita recovered the control and created good chances, but showed lack of precision in the box. However, Abel Ruiz sealed the game from the penalty spot.
In the quarter-finals, Spain will face Iran this coming Sunday. Iran beat Mexico (2-1).
